Chicago Slitter: Sales & Applications Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
This position is responsible for establishing, maintaining and strengthening customer relationships with new and existing accounts, and is responsible for achieving sales targets in the assigned geographic territory. The position involves analyzing and understanding customer needs and proposing solutions, selling the Chicago Slitter product line, preparing cost estimates and establishing pricing.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 5 or more years of successful proven sales experience in the OEM equipment and automated machinery systems industry (steel industry and/or capital equipment experience would be a plus).
- Strong negotiator.
- College degree required, technical major preferred.
- Must possess general knowledge of industrial equipment, familiarity with design, manufacturing and assembly of OEM equipment.
- Interface with Engineering, Purchasing, Vendors and Customers.
- High integrity and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent PC skills, must be proficient in MS Office, Outlook.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Moderate Travel required.
- Must be a Team Player, always willing to help out and take the initiative to get things done.
- Ability to work independently and successfully represent the Company.
