Reichel & Drews and Isola Team Up
Reichel & Drews to Supply advance shingle and modified bitumen membrane production line to Isola in Norway
Reichel & Drews has been selected by the Norwegian bitumen roofing manufacturer, Isola AS, to supply a state-of-the-art combination shingle and roll roofing production line. The production line will utilize the latest Reichel & Drews technology for both shingle and modified bitumen roll roofing production with production speeds of up to 100 meters per minute. The latest in servo driven technology and tension control developed by Reichel & Drews will provide Isola the ability to increase production rates, improve product quality and reduce annual maintenance costs.
Joseph Gajc, Marketing Director for Reichel & Drews points out that “this will be the most advanced shingle production lines outside of North America and one of the most modern modified bitumen membrane production lines.”
The new line is scheduled for commissioning in two phases with shingle production beginning in early 2008 and modified membrane production late 2008.
